  • The fees charged by buyer’s agents in Queensland, Australia, can vary based on several factors. This includes the specific services offered, the experience and reputation of the agent, and the location within Queensland. Buyer’s agents typically use one of the following fee structures:

    1. Flat Fee: Some buyer’s agents charge a flat fee for their services, and this can range from $5,000 to $10,000 or more. The exact amount may depend on the complexity of your property search and other factors.
    2. Percentage of Purchase Price: Another common fee structure is charging a percentage of the property’s purchase price. The percentage can range from 1% to 3% of the purchase price.
    3. Combination of Flat Fee and Percentage: Some buyer’s agents use a combination of a flat fee and a percentage of the purchase price. For instance, they might charge a lower flat fee plus a percentage fee based on the purchase price.
    4. Hourly Rate: In some cases, buyer’s agents may charge by the hour, with rates varying based on their experience and the specific services you require.

Using Hudson Property Hunters and their fees

There are 2 ways typically to buy a property and that’s by negotiating on a home advertised as offers above/set price OR at Auction. If you wish Hudson Property Hunters to go to auction for you there is a set fee of $1000. This is $500 paid upfront to attend the auction and bid on your behalf and $500 if we manage to secure the property on your behalf at the auction.

To find and buy a property for you that is not an auction requires engaging us in a different way. There is an upfront fee of around $3000. This $3000 is part of the 2% of the final purchase price of the property.  For example, if the final fee to find and buy a property is $12000 then $3000 is paid upfront and the other $9000 is paid at the point of unconditional contract. Our aim is to save you more than the fee that is charged and offer a much more personalised experience.
